According to a report from July of this year, areas in China have been experiencing severe air pollution that has resulted in fog. This is an important issue because the changes to topography and meteorology are unknown. China is currently making efforts to reduce pollution and using drones to find factories that violate emission laws.
Chris Nielson, the executive director of the China Project at Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, has proposed a climate hypothesis. It says that "As the earth warms, the high-pressure system of cold air known as the Siberian High that influences many places, including China, weakens. That means there is less wind to blow away the smog and stagnant air where pollutants accumulate and interact. That leads to increased haze, cutting sunlight’s access to the ground, leaving it cooler. The effect reduces the heat that produces convectional rainfall that could clear the air." With that being said, researchers don't expect the local changes that China is making to solve the problem completely. A study done in the Nature Climate Change journal says that "anthropogenic climate change is likely to alter the level of pollutant management required to meet future air quality targets"; This means that the global warming we're causing is going to cause more pollution in the future.
In conclusion, there needs to be a larger group of people studying the "pollution’s complex interactions of chemical, meteorological and climatological"; decreasing the number of people affected by air pollution (by illness and death) will have to be a collective effort.

The biosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere all work towards setting the climate. The living things in the biosphere, however, has contributed more to the recent climate changes. One of the main changes humans have caused is increasing the amount of greenhouse (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O)) gases the world is exposed to. The energy that greenhouse gases radiate on the earth heat the atmosphere and cause hotter weather (global warming).Carbon dioxide is the result of burning fossil fuels (coal, oil, etc). Nitrous Oxide is the product of nitrification and denitrification processes. Methane can be obtained in a multitude of ways. CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) cannot be obtained naturally, but are created by humans. The tropospheric zone (O3) is composed of smog that irritates the eyes and lungs of many city inhabitants; this gas may be produced by methane.
Pollution is a very serious issue not only in China, but in all countries especially those with large populations. I heard on the news not long ago about a Chinese artist, who as form of protest was selling a jar of clean air for a ridiculously large prize. Hopefully all nations will do their best to develop laws and environmental policies that will help to significantly reduce pollution around the world, even if those don't have immediate results.
